no tires! just gas!
i have so much to do but all i want to do is sleep. i've been feeling as if i'm having a relapse of first trimester. between 10-Noon i seem to hit a wall of mild nausea and headache and exhaustion that sends me to my bed/the couch/moses' now-accessible bed.
-fairmont movie montage due for october
-birthday cards for mc and derek. i hate the ones i made and will probably shamefully cave in to buying them a storebought... :'(
-paintings and whatnot for the upcoming craft sales
-updating my pauhaus blog
-working on my cousin-in-law-to-be's wedding invites
-prepping my cousin's design/marketing pieces for her upcoming bake sale
i don't know there are probably more things but i'm half falling asleep here. my computer has so much stuff open on it for me to remember or catch up on that it is slowing down.
chloe - 28 weeks update
Your baby weighs a little more than 1kg and may measure up to 38cm from top to toe. At about this time, she can open her eyes and turn her head in your uterus (womb) if she notices a continuous, bright light shining from the outside. She's getting used to blinking her eyes, which now have eyelashes. (awwwww how adorable!!! hope you have your dad's long luscious lashes too!)
Her fat layers are continuing to form and her bones are nearly developed, though they are still soft and pliable. Her bones won’t harden properly until after she's born.
You're in the home stretch. The third trimester typically starts this week and lasts until the end of week 39 and sometimes even beyond. (Don't worry – 42 weeks is the maximum! After that, a mum-to-be is usually is induced to give birth.) Most women gain an average of 5kg during this trimester.
You're probably wavering between feeling as if you've been pregnant forever and being nervous about labour and birth. Checking off things on your to-do list can help. Start selecting possible baby names and begin thinking about life after your baby's birth as well.
well. i did click on the links about induction and i am feeling a lot better about the fact that i was induced for a good reason. it stated that if you did not have contractions within 24 hours of waters breaking that there is increased risks of infection for the baby.
i weighed myself last night and came in at 111lbs. so that's 14lbs. when the eff did that happen? well i'm officially showing like NO mistakes here.
Mom, me and the Mo at the wedding on Saturday (finally! a preg photo!)
so if i am to gain another 5kg that is another 11lbs... oh man. i was right. my sister commented how i already look "super preggers" and i told her i would probably double in size. so another 11lbs equals a total of 122lbs. i think i was about 125-126lbs with Moses. about a 30lb gain. that was a lot of baggage.
i don't remember when i began hardcore nesting with Moses. i haven't started with Chloe yet and i'm feeling nervous... i don't want to nest! it's too stressful! right now the only thing i am having any concerns about is with the sleeping arrangements. Moses is still doing superbly with sleeping in his toddy bed. he woke up last night again after an hour of sleep and i passed out with him for 2 hours before heading to my own bed. he woke at 8am!
So. the idea is that Chloe sleeps in our room in a bassinet for the first 4 or 5 months. by that time, Moses will be almost 2 years old! the plan is to get the IKEA bunk bed.
remember the night before we planned to lower Moses' crib and how he chose that night to climb out and fall? well. this bunk bed from IKEA is an extra low bunk bed, the bottom of the top level is about 1-1.5" higher than the top of his current crib, so that in the event that Moses POSSIBLY falls, it's maybe 5-6" higher. i am planning to get the starry night canopy shown in the photo as well to help barricade and cut down the chances of rolling out.
i have thought this over a trillion times. my confidence comes from a possibly naive place, but Moses has always been a very conscientious guy, very aware of his footing. we'll see how he does with ladders by the time we plan on bringing the bunk in, otherwise we'll probably have a slanted ladder in place so that it is more a cross between stairs-ladder.
we would then set Moses' current crib perpendicular beneath the bunk for Chloe to move into. we'll see how this goes. there is not enough room in that tiny room for two beds.
lastly, i will leave you with this awesome piece of awesome
