Lunch Date at Matchstick

yesterday was a beautiful day.  Jack Frost is zipping around out there, nipping at our fingers, toes and cheeks.  we drove into Vancouver to pick up some supplies and to have a little lunch date with Bronwen at Matchstick Coffee Roasters.

we hung around outside in the grassy area while waiting for Bronwen to arrive.  the kids had fun moving their little bodies, playing hide and seek behind the trees and climbing over the coloured seating area.

Courtney was working and was so sweet to give us a few treats.  The Moses chose a chocolate chip cookie and a Chloe chose a berry scone.
Mom ordered a London Fog and after seeing Bronwen's veggie sandwich, caved in ordered one for myself!
this sandwich was so frigging delicious.  stuffed with carrots, beets, alfalfa sprouts, and a delicious green spread with a side of pickled veggies!  this cafe is incredible.  the pastries are not your typical muffins and scones, it took all my will power to not get the double almond chocolate croissant that was begging me to devour it with my warm cozy tea.  they have sammies daily and their ingredients hail from many of the local farms so you are eating delicious fresh food from your own hood that you can feel pretty good about.
it's fairly kid friendly.  they have a small stack of books and these cool fixtures specifically for your kids to climb and hang off of.  i hope you know i am joking.

lindsay saw that we were in the hood so we made a quick pit stop over at her apartment to say hello and catch up on the latest.  looking forward to our Holiday photos with her this Sunday!!!!

i'm kind of on a roll here!  i'm actually also prepping a post for tomorrow that i think you guys are really going to love :)

holy crud muffins our weeks are packed until christmas including chloe's birthday party which i JUST ordered the cake for yesterday!  so many exciting things as Christmas draws nearer!

hope everyone is getting into the festive spirit xoxo
